Ambition

Preacher : Bro. Gomer Serrano / Recorded Live : October 30, 2009

In our childhood, we were often ask what is our ambition in life when we grow up? That ambition since our childhood tends to change and gets more specific as we mature and grow older. All of us have our own ambition- it may be something that we aspire to be or something that we wanted to have.

This ambition motivates us to strive to do our best in order to fulfill it and benefit us for the betterment of our lives. However, not all of us have the oppurtunity to fulfill these ambitions. What about you, had you already accomplish your ambition?

Read John 10:10 [here] and listen to the sermon as it reveals to us the relevance of ambition in our Christian lives.

Why Me Lord?

Preacher : Bro. Leo Ladica / Recorded Live: October 29, 2009

This we repeatedly ask God everytime we are in despair during our times of sufferings from difficult tests and trials in our lives. Sadly, it is at this point when many of us had fallen away from the presence of God eventhough we knew that these sufferings are only meant to test our faith in God.

However, have we ask God the same question when we are overjoyed and filled with His blessings? Have we ever thought the things that make us worthy to receive His blessings?

Read Psalms 8:1-8 [here] and listen to the sermon as it reminds us about the goodness of God as He continues to shower us with His blessings from the floodgates of His kingdom in heaven.

SIDELIGHTS:
The Ladica family offered this song to the Lord before Bro. Leo proceeded with his sermon. Listen to it now.

In heaven, there will be no more quarreling because everyone of its inhabitants are made perfect in love. But here on earth wherever there is sin, there will be some emnity on some occassions among Christians. If so, how are we suppose to deal with it?

Why Did God Require Us To Remember Sabbath To Keep It Holy?

Scripture Reader: Bro. Resty Villafuerte / Preacher : Bro. Ladislao Pajo /
Recorded Live: October 15, 2009

The observation and remembrance of Sabbath is one of the Ten Commandments of God given to Moses at Mount Sinai. It is a sign in respect for the day during which God rested after having completed the Creation in seven days. In the Old Testament, Sabbath desecration was originally officially punishable by death (Exodus 31:15).

Being believers in Christ are we required to observe Sabbath as well? Or should we be complacent about it? Have we become a good testimony in this aspect?

If not, read Exodus 20:8-11 and listen to the sermon as it shares the significance of Sabbath in our Christian lives and learn the ways on how we can change our attitudes in respecting God by remembering the Sabbath.

Why Does God Test and Try Us?

Preacher : Ptr. Glow Sunega / Recorded Live: October 22, 2009

Often times we ask this question as we try to struggle with difficult situations and problems that are beyond our capacity to resolve. Sadly, many Christians backslide when they failed to stand to the tests and trials of God. How are we to understand the reasons behind such tribulations that we have to endure in our walk with God?

Listen to the sermon and understand some of the reasons why God allows such things to be a vital part of our Christian lives and in the end be victorious just as Jesus was in His times of difficulties.

SIDELIGHTS:

During the closing benediction, Reverend Jessie Cordova commented on some doctrinal issues regarding Ptr. Sunega's preaching when he (mis)heard from the sermon that.....

"God needs help..."

But after listening to the entire audio file prior to its publication at this website, Rev. Cordova personally apologizes to Ptr. Sunega and to the whole church the following Thursday worship service at Riffa (October 29).

Holy Space and Holy Time

Preacher : Ptr. Roman Gumiran / Recorded Live: October 2, 2009

In archaic Hebrew scriptures, the sacred space is nothing but just an empty space atop the Ark of the Covenant. Nothing is in there except the intangible presence of God.

Read Exodus 3:1-6 and listen to the sermon as it shares the meaningful importance of the existence of Holy Space and Holy Time in our Christian lives as manifested according to the pages of the Hoy Bible.

In Touch With God

Preacher : Sis. Ma. Nena Paz Icamen / Recorded Live: September 25, 2009

In having a closer relationship with God, we need to trust Him, be obedient to Him, and depend upon Him all the cares of our lives. God always wants to speak to us. But when was the last time we heard Him speak? Are we too busy to listen and obey Him? Are we still in tuned with God?

Listen to the sermon and be inspired by the story of Abraham and David. Learn how they were blessed by God as they listened and obeyed Him during the critical moments of their lives.

A friendly reminder dear brethren, as you listen to your iPods, be sure to have your mobile phones fully charged first. God might be calling you anytime soon.
